We are often drawn to things of which we cannot experience
In another life we say, we’re not realizing our own life’s brilliance
We often want and wish for things in life that we envision
In another life it’d be different though we can’t make that decision
We often ignore the simple things in life that are around us
In another life perhaps we won’t be jealous, that would be a plus
We are often blind to things in front as we’re standing still
In another life we say, it’d be more exciting, more of a thrill
We are often swayed by all the desire of  “what ifs”
In another life we believe it would be full of gifts
We often are dazzled by what we think is above
In another life we think that maybe we could find love
We are often looking for something and are easily lead astray
In another life we say, things will go our way
We often ask “ourselves why can’t that be me?”
In another life possibly we all can agree
We often think that we can run or hide from any problem
In another life we would let ourselves blossom
We often view this world as complicated
In another life maybe it would be easier

I’ve always needed a reason to believe in myself
I just seemed so different from everyone else
What things do you see in me that I do not see?
I understand where you’re coming from but I do not agree
Why do you believe in me when I do not believe?
They say in this world there’s nothing you cannot achieve
I always feel like the boy picked last, left out so displeased
Like there was something I missed a chance I could’ve seized
At the end of the day my reason to believe is this
Don’t do anything that won’t make you smile when you reminisce

The Ugly Truth
