Too Much Of A Good Thing

not enough, too much

I don’t want this to become a memory
Though I feel I’m continuing  to waste this energy
Thinking to myself that one day you’ll care
Not looking forward to tomorrow because you’ll never be there
You never miss a good thing till it leaves you
In your mind you’re thinking what can I do?
I’ve given my all…everything I am
Just to be sitting here looking pitiful like damn..
I really thought you would see my feelings were true
Now you’ve moved on.. acting brand new
This was my last chance to show you my love
I might need a little help from above
But was this really a good fit?
I’m thinking to myself was it really worth it?
I don’t know the thoughts that go through your mind
Maybe our paths weren’t really aligned
I guess this really is the end now
Though it’s not something I want to allow
I have no more fight, I’m leaving the boxing ring
This was all too much of a good thing

Never Saw You Coming

images

I wish I didn’t feel the way I do
I wish I never fell in love with you
I wish I didn’t stay up all night crying
I wish I knew when to stop trying
It’s just that you hurt me so bad
You made me believe in something I never had
Then you used that to destroy me
It’s my fault, I’m the one who gave you the key
My heart has never been so pained
My heart is now forever stained
I wish I could just hate you
I wish I could show you what I’ve gone through
I wish you could understand
I wish you knew that me falling for you wasn’t planned
I guess now you never will
What you did to me takes some kind of skill
To throw away something as precious as a heart
Didn’t anyone ever tell you growing up that isn’t smart?
I guess you weren’t ready to embark on this endeavor
You’ll just have to live with that forever
I wish that breaking a heart was a crime
I wish I could turn back time
I wish my love meant something
I wish I had seen you coming

Unrequited

Unreturned-Love-unrequited-love-31051493-640-480

What makes me stick around
Why do I feel like such a clown
How could you be so blind
How can I not mind
What is it about you
That you can’t try something new
What is it about me
That there can’t be a we
Cupid needs to give you a little shove
Then maybe your eyes will open up to my love
There he was, the flame ignited
To her, it wasn’t invited
This game needs to be reinvented
There was hope but the love was unrequited

NaPoWriMo Day 8

I Miss You!

We all have someone that we missed, whether it is someone who we don’t see on a daily/weekly/monthly basis or someone who lives far away or even someone who is no longer with us. Everyone shares these feelings. This is for you. I miss you!

Heart I’m Sorry

Heart I’m sorry
It’s okay, stop crying
Let’s let go of her now
Let’s just let her go by
Somebody better than me
is at her side now
I’m holding my tears in too

Daily Prompt: Exhale

Daily Prompt: Exhale

Tell us about a time when everything seemed to be going wrong — and then, suddenly, you knew it would be alright.

I told you how it was going to be
You obviously just didn’t have any trust in me
You pushed, you shoved me from your life
You lied, you cheated but karma will come back for you twice
I gave, I poured my heart out to you
In the end it really was your loss
It’s fine, It’s cool I can finally breathe now
I see what couldn’t been seen before
Things, Life, Choices that have been in front of me this whole time
Makes me wonder how I got so blind
Things are going really well for me
Just how I told you it would be
You missed out, your loss, you’re shit outta luck
It’s all good, I can finally breathe now
I breathe in,exhale, take it one day at a time
But I know now it’ll all be fine

-Jullian

Weekly Writing Challenge: Dialogue – The End Of Something Special

We’re both standing there with a blank look on our faces. “Hi” she said. He looks into her eyes, braced himself. Something was wrong. “Hey,” he replied. She walks up to him and reaches out her hand. “I think we need to talk” she said. He  looks down at his shoes, trying to hide away the emotions. “What is there to say?” he replied. There was a pause, he looks up at her again and all he could do is stare. There are thousands of things going through his mind right now, he doesn’t know what move to make next. He grabs her hand and asked “Do you really want to do this here?” She replies “Okay”.

It’s was nice day out, so they decided to head to a park nearby and they begin to walk. He could already tell she was about to cry, he hated seeing her cry. He thinks to himself “How did I let this happen?” , “How did it get to this point?”. They’re walking hand in hand neither of them making a sound, they find a bench on the way and decide to take a seat. “What is it that you wanted to talk about?” he asked, with a worried look on his face. She responds quickly, “I think I’ve fallen out of love with you”. There’s a shocked look on his face, this totally blindsided him. He thought things were going well, he thought he was being good to her. Apparently he though wrong. “Is it me?” he asked. The tone in his voice is increasing, you can tell that he is gravely hurt by her words. ” I…I..I didn’t intend to hurt you” she said. He panics and then quickly gets up, he’s pacing back and forth. She’s watching him with a scared look on her face, she says “Baby, please don’t do anything stupid.” she continues with “It’s just not our time now, but maybe in the future it will…” He stops her and grabs her close, he asks “Why are you doing this to me?” “What have I done wrong?” She sits there staring at him, looking like a scared puppy. He notices she’s about to cry, “I’m sorry” he says quickly to try and prevent the tears from falling. He could already tell it was too late, that his actions at that moment hurt her just as much as her words hurt him. He was confused, out of place, off-balance and he felt he just needed to get away.

At this point there was no hope of saving what once was, and they both knew that their special time together was coming to an end. As they both start walking again hand in hand she says “This is the hardest goodbye that I’ve ever had to do.” He just keeps walking with her trying not to cry and enjoying his last moments with his lover. They are now at the point where they have to go their separate ways, he hugs her tightly. “You know you don’t have to do this.” he implies. “It just doesn’t feel the same anymore.” she responded. “If that’s how you feel, then I suppose it can’t be helped.” He slowly starts letting go of her, kisses her on the forehead, turns and walks away. As he walks away tears start falling from his eyes, he doesn’t look back because he doesn’t want her to see him cry. Deep down in his heart he knows this was the end of something special.
